Pumpkin Pie and Cardigans

Well it is my favorite season of the year! I know we are not officially there, however, Labor Day has passed and I am feeling the cooler mornings. Summer has passed our family and the kids summer birthdays with it as well. My daughter's July Birthday pictures will be loaded as soon as I figure out how to load them. I was inspired by a lovely wooden vintage/shabby chic look I purchased at a really cool place in Fresno called The Palace Courtyard. I can spend hours in there and if you like good deals they have authentic Coach bags in addition to antiques and books. Speaking of bags, I have finally cleared out my closet preparing for my cardigans and so very handy and classic trenchcoat.  I just better stop eating the pumpkin pie or else I won't be able to button it up!  I already baked my first pumpkin pie. I must confess that I was unable to find Libby's canned pumpkin so far this season. Last year it seems there was a shortage due to some rainfalls and fungus impeding the canning process which is only done once a year. My pies did not turn out as they normally do but it sure did smell great in the kitchen! Hoping my local Raley's grocery store will get some soon!
